For over 20 years, Domingo Figueroa, PHR has dealt with the challenges and complexity of the managerial world in the highly regulated environment of the pharmaceutical, consumer and medical devices industries.
Recently, he has been focused in understanding the needs of the Small and Medium businesses and he invests a considerable amount of time in his practice to provide consulting services to this business sector in Labor Law, Compliance, Training, Organizational Development, and Strategic Human Resources. He is the Managing Partner and Lead Consultant for Diaphoros Corp, a Human Resources consulting firm established in Puerto Rico.
Lead by a successful educational background in sciences, he began his career in the pharmaceutical industry where he acquired meaningful experience in Quality and Manufacturing Operations management. Soon he discovered his passion for the human dimension of the workplace and talent management. Therefore, he decided to shift his career path to the Human Resources field and pursued further education and training. Domingo is certified as a Mediator by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. He is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute and holds accreditations in Training, Personnel Administration, Management Feedback System and Targeted Selection from multinational and state development organizations such as Development Dimensions International (DDI), Advanced School of Personnel Administration, CompuStar, Conflict Resolution Center and Covey Leadership Center, among others. In February 2006, he became a Certified Trainer and Certified Professional for Managing Workplace Conflict, endorsed by the Mediation Training Institute International.
Through the years, he has acquired a solid expertise in Labor Law and Regulations, HR Management, Policies and Procedures, Headcount Management, Top Quality Training delivery, Conflict Resolution and Employee Relations. In addition to conducting in-house and off-site training on the core competencies of Managing Workplace Conflict, Domingo provides professional advice and formal interventions to resolve complex workplace disputes that requires expert skills on mediation.
Domingo is as a volunteer for “Puerto Rico Youth at Risk Inc.”, where he has enjoyed serving as a mentor to disadvantaged youth from San Juan and Canóvanas communities. He is the Youth Leadership and Service Program Council president and is a member of the Organization’s Board of Directors.
He is also a proud member of the following Professional Organizations, in which he participates actively: Society for Human Resources Management (National and Puerto Rico Chapters), Association for Conflict Resolution, Mediation Training Institute International, Professional Mediation Association, Centro Unido de Detallistas de Puerto Rico, Association of Labor Relations Practitioners of Puerto Rico, and Puerto Rico Youth at Risk, Inc.
In addition to providing his services in the Caribbean and Latin America, he is willing to support any mainland organization and/or community that needs an experienced, thorough, Spanish-speaking Trainer/Consultant to address their challenges.
