Personal Biodata

Ray was born in Texas, raised in Louisiana, and has six years' experience living abroad in Tehran, Iran, and Aberdeen, Scotland. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Human Resource Development from Lesley College in Cambridge Massachusetts. He then received certification in Network and Systems Administration from Denver Technical College. This allowed him to land jobs with Fortune 100 companies such as Accenture and Siemens IT Solutions as a technical engineer and technical operations production analyst for nine years. While working for Siemens he was remote deployment trainer for clients and applications trainer for migration initiatives.

Ray's interest in training emerged while in IT positions as OTJ trainer and being recognized as a resource for new hires disseminating policy and procedure on network applications for a global data center in Chicago at Accenture. His work in behavioral healthcare settings as a counselor and group facilitator providing in-services, education, group therapy and program development also contributed to this interest. He has twenty years' facilitation experience on topics including interpersonal skills management, conflict management, life skills, coping skills, and mediation at two hospitals in Denver.

Ray is a member of the Board of Directors and Interpersonal Skills Development Director/Instructor and Director of Workforce Development and Implementation at a workforce development training center in Chicagoland.

He is a certified AHA-CPR instructor and was a member of the 2007 Board of Directors for the Chicagoland American Society for Training and Development (CASTD). He was elected Director of Volunteers at CASTD where he coordinated training events and workshops on learning and performance. In 2008, Ray received his certification in AHA-CPR Instructor training. He has completed training in Hewlett Packard Consultant Milestone training, E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management, Project Management and is ITIL certified in Incident Process Management.

Ray facilitates workshops and conferences with the Society for Technical Communicators and helps build business strategies for future conferences with fellow presenters. He is also a Certified Trainer at Youth for Understanding, USA, an international student exchange organization.
