Frequently Asked Questions
Naturally, prospective members of the International Registry of Associate Consultants have questions. We have tried to anticipate those questions, and answers are provided below. If we haven't answered your question, please send it by email to info@HRD200.com. Thanks for helping us develop this resource.
Once your concerns are addressed to your satisfaction, join the Registry.
I'm concerned about email abuse and security. How is my email address and contact info used?
The information you enter into the Registry is used exclusively to determine potential match between your qualifications and prospective clients. It is not disclosed, sold, or given to any other party. Your email address will not be used for any purpose other than to contact you on matters directly related to the Registry. You will not receive promotional or advertising messages.
Can I remove my membership from the Registry in the future?
Yes. Send an email to records@HRD200.com with your request, and your entire record will be immediately deleted. Be sure to include sufficient information so we can correctly identify you. (To date, no one has ever requested removal.)
How much will I be paid?
Consultant compensation is highly variable, depending on project specifications, client budget, and other requirements. Your compensation will be negotiated with you in advance, so you will never receive less than an amount that you have agreed to.
Am I guaranteed to receive consulting assignments with HRD200?
No.
Am I obligated to do any marketing, selling, proposal-writing, or contract management?
No, these functions are performed by HRD200 personnel. Consultants just deliver services defined in the statement of work contained in client service agreements.
Is my name or contact info viewable by prospective clients?
Not until we determine there may be a match between a client's need and your qualifications. We make this determination by searching the Registry by training topic and geographical location, and viewing your biodata. Then we identify you as a qualified candidate and submit your biodata to the client for review. Before the contract is final, you sign a standard non-compete agreement and appointment letter. Then you are put you in contact directly with the client.
Are there restrictions on my future work with a client?
Consultants sign a standard non-compete agreement that prohibits independent communication with a client for one year after completion of a project. However, you may decline an engagement if it would be with an existing client or one that you want to retain the right to develop on your own. The guiding principle is that subsequent opportunities that are "genetic offspring" of HRD200's parentage are to be managed by HRD200.
Do I pay a fee when I accept an engagement?
No. Consultants never pay any fee to HRD200. We pay you for services delivered.
What are my obligations?
Only to act in a competent, professional, and ethical manner. Once you are selected as our sub-contractor, you are representing HRD200 to our clients, whom we want to be fully satisfied with the services they receive.
Why would I NOT join the registry?
Frankly, we can't think of any reasons not to join, assuming you are interested in more opportunities to do work in your areas of competency.
