Personal Biodata

Ron Gordon

Ron has an interesting and widely diversified background. Prior to attending various universities to earn his degrees, he enjoyed some meaningful life-changing experiences in cultures such as Japan, South East Asia, the Mid-East, and Europe.

Many of these events came as a result of entering the United States Air Force in the early 1960s through the end of 1974. Early in his career he was assigned to Northern Japan. While in Japan, he was awarded the highest medal an enlisted man can earn in a non-combat zone, the Airman's Medal (also known as 'The Soldier's and Sailor's medal') given for Valor for saving the lives of two airmen who were drowning in a lake near the Sea of Japan at Misawa AFB.

A major turn in his life took place in the 1980s when he went back to college to complete his bachelor's degree in management. He went on to earn an MBA and his doctorate of management in 2002.

He has been a professor as well as chair of graduate studies and academic dean. Ron stepped up the administration ladder becoming Director/President of colleges from Florida to Tennessee.

He has since become an accomplished consultant and lecturer enjoying a highly respected reputation. In addition, Ron has been guest speaker and lecturer throughout the education arena. From a business perspective, Dr. Ron has been contracted as a management consultant to several corporations such as The Bell Corporation and Florida Business Systems (FBS), in Tampa, Florida. He analyzed their respective organizations in order to make recommendations for change and/or re-engineering that resulted in significant improvements to their bottom line. Today, Dr. Ron conducts seminars to small business entrepreneurs and businesses in need of consultation. Ron created a consulting firm and joined HRD200 in 2008.

All of Ron's degrees (BBA, MBA, DBA) are in management. One of the most interesting seminars he conducted was with a group of 20 Mainland Chinese graduate students who studied in Tampa, Florida while in pursuit of their Masters Degree in business. The seminar was a four week term of five eight hour days, completed through the use of an interpreter. Ron felt the experience was one of the most enlightening events of his academic career.

Ronald Gordon has been added to Who's Who Among Universities and Colleges in 1989-1990. In addition, he was selected to Strathmore's Who's Who in Leadership and Achievement in 2005-2006.
